i hate poetry.

I hate poetry.
I really do.
Really,
I abhor it.
Probably because I do not
understand it.
Why can't you just
type your thoughts?
Why all the hidden meanings,
and sentences that
stop
in the middle

of

a

thought?
And what is with the spacing?
What pandemonium is this,
where you just stop
and
start, wherever you
feel like?
Perhaps I will never understand
poetry;
But I will continue
to try,
for that is the nature

of my stubbornness.
